ANKARA/DIYARBAKIR - The Diyarbakir Governor's Office officially indicted mayors who paid a visit of condolences to relatives of a terrorist who was killed in an operation in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakir province.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Monday that the Governor's Office indicted Diyarbakir Mayor Osman Baydemir and mayors of Baglar, Yenisehir, Sur and Kayapinar hamlets who paid a visit of condolence to family members of the terrorist with their official vehicles.
The Governor's Office will also request the Ministry of Interior Affairs to appoint an inspector to investigate the event.
Earlier, Diyarbakir Governor Baydemir and mayors of Baglar, Yenisehir, Sur and Kayapinar hamlets paid a visit to the family of Sait M. Ozgun, a member of the terrorist organization PKK/Kongra-Gel who fled after the attack in which a watchman was killed and two policemen were injured. Later he was killed in an operation mounted by security forces in Hevsel region in the province.
