ANTALYA - Afghan Agriculture and Livestock Minister Seyyed Hussain Anwari met Antalya Governor Alaaddin Yuksel on Monday.
Yuksel told reporters that a cooperation agreement can be signed between Afghanistan and Antalya in the agriculture conference which will be held in Antalya in the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Anwari thanked Turkey and Turkish soldiers for their sensitivity for the settlement of peace in Afghanistan.
Stressing that agriculture and stock raising are two leading sectors in Afghanistan, Anwari said that he had the chance to examine these sectors in Turkey, stating that they wished to apply in Afghanistan the high technology which is used in Turkish agriculture.
Antalya Governor Yuksel said that political developments in Afghanistan in recent years prevented significant improvements to be recorded in the sector and Anwari showed a will to develop agriculture and stock raising sectors in his country.
Yuksel said that Antalya will assist Afghanistan on agriculture and stock raising sectors in the aspects of methods and technology. He added that an agriculture conference will be held in Antalya with the participation of agriculture ministers of many countries in the end of year and Turkey and Afghanistan can sign a cooperation agreement during that conference.
