ANKARA - Industrial production rose by 13.6 percent in the first half of 2004 over to the same period last year.
The State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced on Monday results of the monthly industrial production index.
The industrial production increased by 15.7 percent in June of 2004 over to the same month of the previous year.
At the level of sub-sectors of industry, manufacturing industry production increased by 16.8 percent; mining industry production rose by 12.4 percent; and electricity, gas and water production increased by 7.1 percent in June of 2004.
According to the average of six months of 2004 compared with the same period of the previous year, total industrial production increased by 13.6 percent; manufacturing industry increased by 15.0 percent; electricity, gas and water industry increased by 6.9 percent while mining industry decreased by 1.5 percent.
