ISTANBUL - Two of terrorists who staged an armed attack outside the U.S. Consulate General in Istanbul on Wednesday already had criminal records of ordinary crimes, Turkish interior minister has said.
Replying to questions, Interior Minister Besir Atalay stated security department has been working hard on the matter.
Atalay said three terrorists have been identified and two of them already had criminal records.
A security guard and two traffic policemen were killed in the shootout near the police post at the visa entrance of the U.S. Consulate General, and three attackers were also killed in the shooting.
