BRUSSELS - European lawmakers urged the European Union (EU) on Monday to establish a union for the Black Sea, including Turkey as a member country.
A draft report on EU`s enlargement strategy called on the Union to devise a more detailed strategy for the Black Sea, saying that the European club should consider "launching a union for the Black Sea with the EU, Turkey and other countries of the region as its equal members."
The report, drafted by German Christian democrat Elmar Brok, also urges the EU to talk Russia into joining the proposed union.
