MERSIN - Atahan Transportation company announced on Saturday that it stopped all its activities in Iraq.
Turkish driver Tahsin Top, who was kidnapped on Tikrit-Mosul highway on Thursday, was working for the Atahan Transportation Company.
Hasan Tarhan, one of the shareholders of Logistic International transportation, Industry and Trade LTD Company, issued a written statement and said, ''our company decided to stop all its activities in Iraq because of the incidents.''
''We wish our driver Tahsin Top will be released soon and return to his country healthily,'' Tarhan stressed.
A militant group released a video tape on Saturday of Top kidnapped in Iraq.
The group threatened to behead him in 48 hours unless his company pulls out of the country.
The militants said they did not ask for ransom but they only wanted the company of the driver to withdraw from Iraq.
