ANKARA - Turkey`s exports of borax increased by 35 percent in the first quarter of 2008 when compared to the same period last year, an executive from Turkey`s Eti Mine said on Sunday.
Orhan Yilmaz, director general of Eti Mine Enterprises, told the A.A correspondent that exports of borax amounted to 260 million USD in the first six months of 2008.
Total exports of borax were expected to reach 550 million USD at the end of 2008, Yilmaz stated.
