ANKARA - National athlete Sureyya Ayhan Kop, who withdrew from the 28th Olympic Games, said on Saturday that she would like to attend the games but her aches, coach and doctors did not allow her participation.
Ayhan told A.A correspondent that she was very sad because she could not return from Olympic Games with golden medal. She added that she would like to attend games at the cost of a physical disability, but her coach and doctors did not allow her because her sports life could end.
Ayhan's coach Yucel Kop said that Sureyya Ayhan has been training for eight months, however she could not continue training seriously enough due to her sickness for 2,5 months.
Kop said that Ayhan would restart training after her physical disability was treated.
Kop added that Ayhan would attend Golden League and World Championship.
