ANKARA - Vice Chairman of the United States Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. James Cartwright said on Thursday that Turkey and United States were working together for the security of border between Turkey and Iraq.
Cartwright, who attended the July 4th Independence Day reception at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, said that the U.S. military was pleased with progress achieved for the security of the border.
Earlier in the day, Cartwright had a meeting with Turkish Deputy Chief of General Staff Gen. Ergin Saygun in Ankara.
