Garanti Bankasi Named "Turkey's Best Bank" By Euromoney

ISTANBUL - Garanti Bankasi of Turkey has been named "Turkey`s Best Bank" by Euromoney Magazine, a statement by the bank said on Thursday.
The statement said Garanti Bankasi received the Euromoney Award for Excellence for the 9th time.
Ergun Ozen, director general of the bank, said, "our growth and service performance were appreciated not only by our customers but also by the Euromoney once again. As Garanti Bankasi, we continued our sound growth during the period of global fluctuation. We caught a very good performance in the first half of 2008."
Garanti Bankasi, which was established as a privately owned commercial bank in Ankara in 1946, provides retail, commercial, corporate and private banking services to over 6.2 million customers.
