KOCAELI/SAMSUN/SURUC - Turkish security forces confiscated 7 kg of hashish and 5.1 kg of heroin during separate operations waged throughout Turkey on Wednesday.
During an operation in the northwestern province of Kocaeli, gendarmery forces seized 5.1 kg of heroin and detained three people in connection with the incident.
In a separate operation in the Black Sea province of Samsun, police confiscated one kg of hashish. One person was detained.
Acting on a tip-off, security forces stopped a bus and found 6 kg of hashish in Suruc town of the southwestern Sanliurfa province. One passenger was arrested in the operation.
