ANTALYA - A Russian tourist guide died in a traffic accident in the Mediterranean province of Antalya on Wednesday.
Four vehicles, including a tour bus carrying Russian tourists, got involved in a pileup near Alanya town of Antalya on Wednesday, security forces said.
A total of 16 people were injured, while one passenger died in the accident.
Russian tourist guide Aida Aida, who was hospitalized after the accident, died at Aspendos Private Hospital.
The driver of the bus Kerem Dogan, as well as Russian tourists Anastasia Puzirnikova, Andrey Puzirnikova, Yury Puzirnikova, Marina Puzirnikova, Larisa Lapteva, Vladimir Lapteva, Pavel Kozlov, Lidya Steklova, Yelena Garyadina, Vacim Simirnover, Natalia Simirnover, Galina Simirnover, Valeri Simirnover, Egor Orlov and Ayberk Kirmancioglu were wounded in the accident.
Two of the passengers were seriously wounded, said Selami Altinok, subgovernor of Antalya`s Serik town.
Bus driver Dogan, who is still under treatment at hospital, told reporters that he was taking the tourists to Antalya airport when the accident took place.
