ATHENS, Aug 6 (AFP) - Luxury liners hired to serve as floating hotels for state leaders and VIPs during the Athens Olympics have started docking at the Greek capital's port.
The Greek cruise ship World Renaissance arrived Friday in Athens' Piraeus port, the country's busiest port that has been turned into high-security zone replete with underwater sensors.
The pride of the Olympic fleet will be the Queen Mary 2, the world's largest luxury liner, which is expected to arrive shortly before the August 13-29 Games.
A host of high-ranking visitors, from French President Jacques Chirac to former US president George Bush, will stay in Piraeus during the Games, according to Greek sources.
