300 Insurgents Killed In Iraq Over Two Days: US Military

BAGHDAD, Aug 6 (APF) - The US military said Friday it had killed 300 insurgents in two days of fierce fighting against Shiite Muslim militiamen concentrated in the central holy city of Najaf.
"We estimate we`ve killed 300 anti-Iraqi forces in the past two days of fighting. We`ve had a total of three killed, 12 wounded," Marine Captain Carrie Batson told AFP.
