BARCELONA - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said Saturday he would be travelling to Iraq on Sunday to help prepare Iraq for the visit of Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"I will travel to Iraq to prepare the Iraqis for Erdogan`s visit. We will conduct works on the infrastructure and superstructure of Iraq prior to Erdogan`s visit," Tuzmen said.
"I believe that Erdogan will visit Iraq within a very short time period," Tuzmen noted.
"Despite all the difficulties, Turkey and Iraq have a trade volume of 3.5 billion USD. We believe that the trade volume with Iraq will rise to 5 billion USD by the end of 2008," Tuzmen also said.
