ARDAHAN - The silhouette of Ataturk --founder of Republic of Turkey-- started to appear on the ridges of Karadag mountain in Damal town of northeastern province of Ardahan.
The silhouette of Ataturk appears at Karadag every year between June 15th and July 15th at the hours between 5:55 p.m. and 6:10 p.m.
Damal Mayor Gulcemal Fidan told reporters that many people visit Ardahan to see the appearance of Ataturk every year.
The silhouette of Ataturk was firstly seen by a shepherd in 1954.
