Cause Of Armed Attack In Van Was Conflict Between Two Families, Authorities

VAN - The cause of an armed attack in the eastern province of Van was a conflict between two families, local authorities said.
An armed attack on a van killed four in Van`s Cakirbey village earlier on Friday. Eight others were wounded in the attack which occurred as armed assailants opened fire on a van, the authorities also said.
Gendarmery forces have launched a wide-scale operation to capture the assailants.
Mehmet Salih Kesmez, the police chief of Van, said the attack was not a terrorist one.
