MADRID - Spanish government appointed Joan Clos as the new ambassador to Turkey.
The appointment of Clos was approved during Spanish Council of Ministers meeting on Friday.
Clos is a former minister of industry, tourism and trade. He was also the mayor of Barcelona between 1997 and 2006.
