ANKARA - Turkey`s top court has ruled Friday that the Republican People`s Party (CHP) violated established rules in its accounts covering the years of 1998, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
The Constitutional Court completed its financial inspection on Turkey`s main opposition party, and discovered "irregularities" amounting to 35.4 billion Turkish lira (nearly 29 billion USD).
The court asked prosecutors to indict CHP executives.
The court also ruled that properties belonging to CHP worth of 35.4 billion YTL would be seized and handed over to the Treasury.
