DIYARBAKIR - Security forces killed two terrorists in a clash in Mardinkapi district in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakir province.
Diyarbakir Police Chief Orhan Okur told the A.A on Thursday that security forces encountered a group of terrorists in the morning in Hevsel Bahceleri neighborhood in Mardinkapi and called them to ''surrender''.
A clash erupted between security forces and terrorists as they responded their call by opening fire and in the clash security forces killed two terrorists, he said.
One watchman was killed and one police officer was injured when terrorists staged an armed and bomb attack on a police post in Mardinkapi on July 28, 2004.
In their operations, security forces captured two terrorists and detained three people on charges of aiding and abetting those terrorists.
