ANKARA - Sait Unurlu and Abdurrahman Demir, the Turkish truck drivers who were freed in Iraq yesterday, will return to Turkey, sources told the A.A on Thursday.
Turkish Embassy officials in Baghdad said that Unurlu and Demir were brought to the embassy after being freed. Later, the drivers left the embassy to return to Turkey.
Meanwhile, embassy officials said that they did not receive any information about the other persons who were reported missing.
Yesterday, Tawhid and Jihad group in Iraq said that it decided to release Demir and Unurlu after their company pledged to stop ferrying goods to U.S. forces in Iraq.
