Trial Of 12 Suspects Of Attack On Masonic Lodge To Start Tomorrow

ISTANBUL - The trial of 12 suspects, accused of the armed attack on the Freemasons Grand Lodge Association in Kartal district of Istanbul on March 9, 2004, will start on Friday before the Istanbul High Criminal Court no: 9.
In an indictment, the prosecutor requested the court to sentence suspects Engin Vural, Adem Cetinkaya, Hasan Dag, Hamza Ali Temiz and Hakan Caliskan to life imprisonment on charges of ''attempting to change Turkey's constitutional order by the force of arms''.
Two suicide bombers stormed the Masonic lodge on March 9 and opened fire with automatic weapons and set off explosions that killed one person and wounded six others.
