BURSA - 71.9 percent of Turkish automotive exports made in the first seven months of 2004, were oriented to 24 European Union (EU) countries , sources told the A.A on Thursday.
Uludag Exporters' Association officials said that the Turkish automotive industry exported its products to 168 countries on the five continents, in the January-July period of the year.
The seven-month automotive exports accounted for 5,911,003,000 U.S. dollars in the aggregate. Turkey's exports to the EU-countries reached 4,248,701,000 U.S. dollars.
Exports to Germany, France, Italy and Britain amounted to 2,972,509,000 U.S. dollars.
Turkey did not export products to the Greek Cypriot side.
Meanwhile, Turkey's exports to EU candidate countries Romania and Bulgaria reached 126 million U.S. dollars.
