ATHENS, Aug 4 (AFP) - A small explosive device went off outside Athens Wednesday, police said, but government sources said they were not concerned about a threat to the security of the upcoming Olympic Games.
The device went off in a toilet at a highway management company early in the morning, causing no casualties and little damage. Police sources said organized criminals were suspected.
The explosion took place in the offices of the company in charge of maintenance and management of the new privately financed Athens circular road.
Such attacks with criminal intent are common in Athens.
