Turkish - Greek Friendship Festival Starts

KUSADASI - The Seventh Turkish-Greek Friendship Festival started on Saturday.
This year's event is held under the theme "Water and Light" and it is co-hosted by Turkey's western resort town of Kusadasi and Greek island of Samos.
Turkish and Greek participants of an opening discussion panel called for joint efforts and strategies to tackle regional and global environmental pollution, urging their respective governments to allocate funds to explore alternative energy resources other than oil.
