BAGHDAD - Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has indicated that more efforts were required to set up long-term relations between Turkey and Iraq.
President Talabani received on Saturday Turkey`s Special Envoy to Iraq Murat Ozcelik and Turkish Ambassador in Baghdad Derya Kanbay.
During the meeting, the parties highlighted the importance of efforts to further improve Turkey-Iraq relations. The parties also agreed that more efforts were required to set up long-term relations between the two countries.
Iraqi President also hosted a luncheon in honor of the Turkish delegation. Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Barham Salih and Water Resources Minister Latif Rashid also partook in the luncheon.
