There Is No Conflict Between Islam Culture And Secularism In Turkey, President

TOKYO - Turkish President Abdullah Gul said on Friday that there was no conflict between Islam culture and secularism in Turkey.
"Majority of Turkish population is Muslim, but they have been living a modern life by maintaining their traditions," Gul told Japanese NHK TV in Tokyo.
Also, Gul said that the ongoing discussions might affect Turkey`s European Union (EU) membership bid slightly not in a wider sense.
Gul said that nobody should fear about Turkey`s future, and added that Turkey was going on membership talks with the EU and its target was full membership.
