TRABZON - Australian Ambassador in Ankara Peter Doyle paid a visit of courtesy to the Governor of north-eastern province of Trabzon, Nuri Okutan, on Friday.
Expressing pleasure over receiving the Australian Ambassador, Okutan said that they exchanged ideas on the province and region.
"We hope that Mr. Doyle visits Trabzon more frequently to develop relations between Turkey and Australia," said Okutan.
"I visited Trabzon as a tourist years ago. Trabzon has been an important center in the region for centuries," Doyle said.
"We are working to develop cooperation between our two countries. We can increase cooperation with various projects," Doyle also said.
