Turkey Earns 2.5 Bln Usd From B.T.C. Oil Pipeline In Two Years

ADANA - Turkey earned 2.5 billion USD from the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline in the past two years.
The BTC oil pipeline carries Caspian oil to world markets via Turkey.
The total amount of oil shipped to world markets from the BTC pipeline`s final point, Adana-Ceyhan, between June 2nd, 2006 and June 4th, 2008, reached 385,100,000 barrels.
1,050,000 barrels of oil are shipped to world markets from Ceyhan on a daily basis.
The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline is a crude oil pipeline that covers 1,768 kilometres (1,099 miles) from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunesli oil field in the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean Sea. It connects Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan; Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia; and Ceyhan, a port on the southern Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It is the second longest oil pipeline in the world after the Druzhba pipeline.
