ANKARA/WASHINGTON, D.C. - Turkey`s last two-stand by performances with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be scrutinized by the Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) of the IMF.
IEO`s "watch after the program" report is not expected to be completed before July, 2008.
In case a new agreement is not signed with the IMF, the IMF representation in Turkey will be shut down.
The IEO was established in 2001 to conduct independent and objective evaluations of Fund policies and activities.
