ANKARA - Turkey strongly condemned on Thursday the recent terrorist attack waged against the Danish Embassy in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
A total of 8 people, one of whom was an official of the Danish Embassy, were killed and many other were injured in the attack that took place on Monday.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan expressed his sorrow over the attack in separate messages he sent to his Danish and Pakistani counterparts, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday.
"Turkey, which strongly stresses during all its international, regional and bilateral talks that terrorism, regardless of its sources or reasons, is a crime against humanity, expresses the vital importance of an effective international cooperation and solidarity in the fight against terrorism all the time," the statement also said.
