ANTALYA - One of every three foreign visitors who had enjoyed their vacations since January in Turkey's southern resort province of Antalya was a German national, local tourism authority said.
The number of German tourists visiting Antalya mounted nearly 45 thousand in the first five months in 2008 over the same period last year to reach to 706 thousand, which marked a 6.77 percent increase.
A total of 2.2 million tourists visited Antalya during the same period and 34.1 percent of them was Germans, who were followed by Russians with 421 thousand, and by the Dutch with 148 thousand.
