LONDON - The Turkish news edition desk of a leading British broadcasting corporation, which has been conducting radio broadcasts for almost 70 years, will start TV broadcasts on Wednesday.
A TV program titled "Dunya Gundemi" (World Agenda), prepared by BBC Turkish Service, will be broadcast on Turkish TV news channel NTV every Wednesday and Friday at 10:30 a.m.
A special weekend episode of the program will be broadcast on Saturdays at 7:15 p.m as well.
Global political developments, global economy, EU, problems within the Union, developments concerning the candidate countries, environment, climate change, science, effects of scientific developments on societies, social issues, culture, art and sports would be some of the issues to be covered by the program, BBC said in a statement.
BBC Turkish was launched in 1939 and has since evolved into a multimedia service which offers its audiences news, information, reviews and analysis, placing events and developments in Turkey and the region in the global context.
