Wife Of Turkish Citizen In Death Row In Saudi Arabia: I Am Happy That The Turkish Barber Was Released

HATAY - The wife of a Turkish barber who was sentenced to capital punishment in Saudi Arabia for "swearing at the God" has welcomed release of another Turkish barber who was arrested on charges of "insulting Prophet Mohammad", and said, "may same happen also to my husband."
In an interview with the A.A, Muazzez Bogday said on Tuesday, "my husband, Sabri Bogday, has been in jail for 15 months. He was sentenced to death penalty for swearing at the God. I do not believe that he committed such a crime. I think he was calumniated."
"Ersin Taze was also arrested with a similar charge. I am happy that he was released. May same happen also to my husband. We are waiting for good news," she said.
Bogday added that both President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had been doing everything in their power for release of her husband.
