European Tourists Are Choosing Turkey Rather Than Spain Or France

IZMIR - Economic recession in the United States and most other parts of the world is having a positive impact on Turkish tourism.
Speaking to AA, chief executive officer of the Pamucak Union of Tourism Investors (PATUYAB) and Aqua Fantasy Hotel, Rumi Dogay, said that the tourism sector in Turkey made an excellent start in all regions.
"European tourists are choosing Turkey rather than Spain or France due to economic recession," said Dogay.
"2008 will be a year of records for Turkey in terms of the number of tourists. However, from a perspective of profits, Turkey will miss previous years` profits," said Dogay.
