Turkish Foreign Minister Babacan Leaves For United States

ANKARA - Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan left for the United States on an official visit on Tuesday.
Babacan is set to hold a series of talks both in Washington D.C. and New York. He will meet U.S. Vice-President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of Treasury Henry Paulson, Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman and U.S. congressmen.
Babacan is also expected to attend a meeting at the Atlantic Council, a think-tank organization, and deliver a speech.
After completing his program in Washington D.C., Babacan will proceed to New York. He is expected to attend an international conference on AIDS on June 10th and 11th.
Babacan will proceed to France to attend an international conference on Afghanistan on June 12th.
