Mine Blast Kills One Security Officer In Southeast Turkey

ANKARA - A Turkish security officer died due to a mine blast in the eastern province of Hakkari, the General Staff said on Sunday.
"A security officer lost his life when he stepped on a mine in the mountainous areas of Hakkari`s Yukseova town around 3 p.m. on Saturday," a statement the General Staff posted on its web-page said.
Another security officer was wounded in the blast.
