Turkish Airlines Announces 125 Mln Ytl Net Profit For Q1

ISTANBUL - Turkish Airlines (THY) announced on Friday a net profit of 125 million YTL (nearly 100 million USD) in the first quarter of 2008.
THY`s net profit climbed 207 percent over the same period of last year, despite rising oil prices, the company said in a statement.
Sales revenues rose 13 percent and reached 1.089 billion YTL in Q1, it said, adding that number of passengers increased 16 percent to 4.53 million.
