Turkey Pleased With Siniora Appointment In Lebanon

ANKARA - Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday that it was pleased with Fuad Siniora`s appointment to form the new Lebanese cabinet.
Lebanese President Michel Suleiman appointed Prime Minister Fuad Siniora on Wednesday to head a national unity government agreed under a deal ending 18 months of political stalemate in the country.
"I call on everyone to take part in healing the wounds and moving beyond the divisions and violence," Siniora said. "I extend my hand to everyone, so that we can achieve for our country the prosperity."
Turkish Foreign Ministry said Siniora`s call was a positive step and added that all sides in Lebanon were expected to take into consideration this call and act with political maturity in order to avoid new crisis and conflicts in the country.
