AMSTERDAM - Turkish officials organized a meeting to promote Turkey's winter tourism facilities in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam on Thursday.
Representatives of numerous hotels located in Turkey's winter tourism centers, as well as representatives of the Dutch tourism sector attended the meeting organized by officials from the Tourism Section of the Turkish Consulate General in the Hague.
Murat Karakus, Turkey's Tourism Attache in the Hague, said during the meeting that nearly 1.3 million Dutch people visited ski centers in foreign countries in the winter period.
Noting that only 2,000 Dutch tourists preferred Turkish ski resorts annually, Karakus said such figure could be increased to 50,000-75,000 in the next 5 years, if promotion activities yielded positive results.
