ANKARA - Turkish State Minister Kursad Tuzmen urged Turkish firms exporting chemical products to the European Union to register their products at the Union's Chemicals Agency.
"Our exporting firms must have their EU-destined products registered between June 1st and December 1st to avoid any interruption in their business," Tuzmen told a press conference on Thursday.
Tuzmen said the EU was the major market for Turkish chemical exporters with a volume of 3.7 billion USD, adding that overall Turkish chemical exports climbed to 10.4 billion USD in 2007.
