BISHKEK - Turkey`s Environment Minister, who is currently in Kyrygzstan to attend a regional meeting of the fifth World Water Forum, was received by the Kyrgyz president on Thursday.
Minister Veysel Eroglu had a 40-minute meeting with President Kurmabnek Bakiyev of Kyrgyzstan. Eroglu informed Bakiyev on the investment environment in Turkey, officials said.
During the talks, President Bakiyev asked for Turkey`s support regarding the establishment of a "Water Academy" in Krygsztan and the training of the officials on the issue.
Minister Eroglu arrived in the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek on Tuesday and delivered a speech at a regional meeting of the fifth World Water Forum on Wednesday.
Representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Iran attended the meeting.
Eroglu and the accompanying delegation are expected to return to Turkey on May 30th.
