Turkish Transportation Minister Yildirim Meets His German Counterpart

LEIPZIG - Turkey's Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim met the German Minister for Transportation, Construction and Housing Wolfgang Tiefensee over dinner on Wednesday in Leipzig.
Yildirim is in Leipzig to attend a meeting of the "International Transport Forum" (ITF).
Speaking prior to the working dinner, Yildirim said that the ITF meeting will facilitate an atmosphere in which the transportation ministers of 53 countries and around 600 representatives from the sector will be able to exchange ideas and discuss ways to develop the transportation sector in the future.
"Such ITF meetings will be held in Leipzig every year from now on. Each year the presidency will change. Turkey will become the new president of the forum after Finland. Turkey will be the host country in Leipzig next year", Yildirim noted.
"We will evaluate bilateral relations with Tiefensee. We are in excellent cooperation with Tiefensee and have no serious problems. We will discuss ways to promote relations", Yildirim noted.
"Turkey desires to cooperate with Germany in all fields. In my field, the development of the infrastructure of railways, cooperation between railway companies and the training of railway personnel are important. We will discuss which Turkish ideas could be implemented in Germany and Europe. I wish Turkey success for its new presidency in the ITF", Tiefensee said.
