High Level UN Official Praises Turkey For Indirect Peace Talks Between Israel And Syria

UNITED NATIONS - A high level United Nations official praised Turkey for indirect peace talks between Israel and Syria.
Speaking to the AA correspondent, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Robert Serry said "we appreciate Turkey`s help in starting indirect peace talks between Israel and Syria".
"The indirect peace talks between Israel and Syria are an excellent development", Serry said.
In a report prepared on the recent developments in the region, Serry mentioned Turkey`s efforts and stated that the UN appreciates Turkey`s initiative on peace talks between Israel and Syria.
Turkey is mediating talks between Israel and Syria.
