ISTANBUL - Turkey`s National Soccer Team Coach Fatih Terim has named Sunday 23-man squad for UEFA Euro 2008 Soccer Championship.
Terim held a press conference Wednesday and announced that Ibrahim Kas, Halil Altintop and Yildiray Basturk were dismissed from the initial squad he named. Earlier Gokhan Gonul was excluded from the squad due to his injury while Emre Gungor was invited.
Turkey will compete in Group A against Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Portugal.
The tournament will kick off with Group A games on June 7th and Turkey will go on its first match against Portugal in Geneva, Austria.

Goalkeepers: Volkan Demiel (Fenerbahce), Rustu Recber (Besiktas), Tolga Zengin (Trabzonspor).
Defenders: Sabri Saryoglu (Galatasaray), Gökhan Zan(Besiktas), Emre Asyk (Ankaraspor), Servet Cetin (Galatasaray), Emre Gungor (Galatasaray) Hakan Kadir Balta (Galatasaray), Ugur Boral (Fenerbahce).
