Turkish Environment Minister Addresses World Water Forum Meeting In Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK - Turkish Environment Minister Veysel Eroglu participated Wednesday at a regional meeting of the fifth World Water Forum in the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek.
Speaking at the meeting, Eroglu said Turkey was among countries under risk due to potential effects of global warming.
"With a 1,500 cubic meters of precipitation per capita, Turkey is among countries facing potential effects of global warming in an environment much like Central Asia," Eroglu said.
The environment minister also urged international cooperation among countries of the region to make progress in the race against global warming and protection of water resources.
