GIRNE - Foreign Minister Turgay Avci of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) said that his country set up a contact with Syria after 30 years, and added, "nobody can stop us opening to the world."
Avci hosted a dinner in honor of representatives of tourism sector from Syria.
Syrian delegation visited TRNC to further develop the trade volume between the two countries as well as introduce their tourism potential.
Abdulkadir Sabra, chairman of Syrian Chamber of Maritime, said that there were no borders in tourism. He added that Syria wanted its people to visit TRNC, and boost the relations.
Sabra said that they also wanted Syrian businessmen to invest in TRNC, contributing to its economic development.
