IZMIR - Europe Director of a world-wide known hotel chain said on Tuesday that Turkey had made a remarkable progress in tourism in recent years.
Several regional directors and branch general managers of the international hotel chain Hilton gathered in the Aegean province of Izmir on Tuesday.
Speaking at the meeting, Wolfgang Neumann, Hilton International's Area President for Europe & Africa, expressed his confidence in the Turkish tourism sector.
Neumann said Hilton International set big targets for Turkey and the company was planning to grow in the Turkish market.
He also said several agreements were signed in order to establish new Hilton hotels in the Turkish provinces of Diyarbakir, Manisa, Bursa and Kutahya. The hotels are expected to be inaugurated in 2010, he added.
Noting that Turkey had a great potential, Neumann also said his company could make more investments in Turkey with more number of partners in near future.
