Turkish State Minister Visits Turkish Islamic Union In Cologne

COLOGNE - Turkish State Minister Said Yazicioglu visited on Tuesday Turkish Islamic Union of the Religious Affairs Directorate (DITIB) in Cologne, Germany.
Speaking at a meeting with DITIB Chairman Sadi Aslan, Yazicioglu said that the union needed to adjust itself to the present day in order to handle new problems.
"The Turkish Islamic Union is what it was 15 years ago. It needs to keep up with the changes and get improved," Yazicioglu said.
The Turkish minister also urged Turks living in Germany to "blend in" with the German society, and learn German language and train in different professions to integrate with the rest of the society.
Later, Yazicioglu departed from Dusseldorf to return to Turkey.
