ANKARA - A seminar was organized in Ankara World Trade Center within the scope of 2008 African Day.
African Diplomacy Group, including embassies of Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Nigeria, Sudan, Tunisia, and South Africa, supported the seminar.
The participants assessed investment and trade opportunities in African countries and Turkey-Africa relations.
Speaking at the meeting, Mustafa Sadni Jallab from Trade, Finance and Economic Development Department of Africa Economy Commission gave information to participants about investment and business opportunities in Africa.
Sadni Jallab said current 10 billion USD foreign trade volume between Turkey and African countries was targeted to be 30 billion USD in 2010.
Sadni Jallab said Turkey had embassies in 12 African countries, noting that Turkey was planning to open embassies in 15 other African countries.
Jallab said Turkey would organize Turkey-Africa Joint Summit between August 18th and 21st, 2008 in Istanbul, adding that they expected various cooperation agreements to be signed at the summit.
